About Us

Pack 445 serves the Burnsville area around the Neill, Vista View and Sky Oaks Elementary Schools. Our Charter organization is Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. All kids (boys and girls) from Kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to join. Parents are highly encouraged to attend or, even better, lend a hand with any or all of our planned activities - from fundraising, fall parties or day camps.

Our Pack is very active and we have at least one or two outings, events or other activities planned for each month during the school year to help the scouts grow and to keep them busy. Some of our larger social events include Fall Camp, Polar Cubs, the Pinewood Derby and our annual Blue & Gold Banquet. We also encourage scouts and parents to attend various camps.

While we do charge an annual fee, we aid the scouts even further by structuring our fundraising activities to help our scouts build Scout Accounts, which are personal accounts used to offset the cost of attending camps or for other scouting needs.

We have some of the best camping and scouting facilities in the country located here in Minnesota, several are in or are very close to the Twin Cities metro area. Camp Phillippo in Cannon Falls is one of the largest Scout Camps and has a fantastic amenities. Camp Kiwanis is near Marine on St. Croix on the St Croix River, it has a traditional. small-camp feel. These camps create memories that will last a lifetime. Things like riding a horse or pony for the first time, shooting a BB gun and archery, an obstacle course with a zip line, sleeping in a tent and much more. There is no better place for a boy to have fun and to learn skills he will use the rest of his life while working in a positive, supportive and encouraging environment.
